FAAHHTS!

Sure this may not exactly be "highbrow" humor but everything about the way you did it was perfect. Even the subtle expressions the guy made and the way the door broke when the butts flew in was hilarious. I don't think there's a single thing you could have done with this that would have made it funnier.

I looooooooooled.

Kept a smile on my face.

I was a bit bummed when it said "To be continued." You build everything up like that and just end with a lame "to be continued?" What's up with that man?

Oh well, "Dad" is a truly hilarious "WTF" kind of character. I'm glad you brought him back.

Haha I loved this!

Very unique and creative. I wasn't really expecting something like that.

Cute. :3

It's cool how you animated everything traditionally, and although the character designs are simple, everything looks great and it's really refreshing to see something like this.

Pure awesomeite.

Haha, that was pretty nuts. I loved this in every conceivable way. The colors... the backgrounds... the perspectives... everything looked great and the animation was tremendously awesome. Seems like all the grueling work at art school is paying off! The best part is if this is shown at the Nicktoons film festival, it'll probably scare thousands of kids into not chewing gum. XD

Here we go again...

Let me just start by saying that no matter how sick you probably are of hearing it, everyone who criticizes you for using stolen graphics is right. You didn't have to draw anything in this, which pretty much eliminates 80% of the work you'd have to do, and 100% of any artistic merit it could possibly have. But this flash wasn't made to be looked up to as the Da Vinci or Van Gogh of animation was it? It was made to be an entertaining cartoon about Mario and Sonic characters with a Dragonball Z twist. (Which probably ranks pretty low on the good idea-meter, but I digress.) Besides, its not like you made this overnight. You clearly have excellent... premade symbol manipulating skills... whatever that counts for.

Let's move onto the writing, which is quite possibly your biggest downfall. Whenever the sprites you've imported into flash aren't just flying around the screen, fighting each other, crashing into things and exploding, they just stand there spouting off contrived dialog and crappy exposition. (Just like the real Dragonball Z...) It's cliche and uninteresting, which is an opinion I'm clearly the minority of, but hey, everyone else clearly sees something extremely obvious that I just don't see.

With all that said, this isn't an effortless piece of trash as some of your critics seem see it. You clearly put a lot of time into making these, but it is still unoriginal, gimmicky, and in my opinion, undeserving of the level of praise it receives.

(By the way, if anyone's reading this and thought it was "the best flash ever", and are OUTRAGED that I gave it a critical review... the buttons for marking my review "unhelpful" are right down there.) VVV

Well it's alright...

I saw this video when it originally came out on the Striaght Outta Lynwood CD. It was probably my 4th favorite... only in front of "Don't Download This Song" and "Pancreas." I was surprised to see that it ended up here!

There's really not too much I can complain about, except I don't really feel like it captured the mood of the song as well as it could have. Some of the lyrics were portrayed kind of boringly, and although I could see you trying to go for that "mass chaos" kind of mood from a virus messing up the whole world, I didn't think you made it well... quite chaotic enough. Still, the animation is decent and its a pretty enjoyable video. The "skool play" thing was a nice touch. XD

You make me wanna give you a 5.

Do you know how many flash videos have been made for Weird Al songs? I'll tell you: hundreds. He's like the most overdone artist ever. Of course, do you know how many of those videos are actually good?

Maybe like 3 or 4, and this is one of them.

The animation in this was simply great. Spastic, funny, and actually capitalized on and added to the song instead of diluting it to nothing like most Weird Al flashes do. (You see people, videos for Weird Al songs are only funny when the person animating them is funny.) You are. The whole thing was filled with non-stop gags and visual silliness that won on multiple levels. I'm sure it was a hit at the wedding too. :)

I actually was planning on making a video for this song... but then again, you probably could have made a video for almost any Weird Al song and I would have said that.

The only bad things I could see were that it was kind of out of sync at the beginning and the <scene missing> kind of broke the flow. But who cares? Everything else was so awesome and great I didn't really give a crap.

Make more Evil Josh and Billy dangit.

Eyegasm.

Holy crap that was amazing! Definitely one of the most beautifully animated flashes I've seen in a while. It seems whenever someone goes for making a "well animated" flash, they usually go the more realistic route instead making it of fun and cartoony like this. Hardly anyone does that! >:(

I love this kind of stuff. You sir win the awesome award.
